Background  

Michael Lantz has been kicking for many years and has achieved success at the high school, college, and NFL levels. In high school, he was rated as the top specialist in the nation and recruited to kick for the University of Minnesota on a full scholarship. After a series of injuries, he transferred to Georgia Southern University, where he broke the single-season field goal record and ranked 10th nationally in touchbacks and hangtime. He later finished his career at the University of Southern California, where he tied the second-longest field goal in USC history (54 yards) and ranked second in the Big Ten for touchbacks. Over the course of his collegiate career, Lantz converted 79% of his field goals (45/57) (not including blocks), demonstrating both accuracy and consistency. He has had NFL opportunities with the LA Chargers and is currently a free agent.
